We collect as little as possible, never sell anything, and only ever use it to write back to you. Here are the specifics.
Who we are
This site is operated by HyaPak Ecotech Limited (“HyaPak”, “we”, “us”), a Kenyan company headquartered at Egerton University, Nakuru, Kenya. Reach our data controller at info@hyapak.com.
What we collect
- Contact form data — name, email, organisation, topic and message you type into /contact. We need all of it to write back usefully.
- Server logs — IP address, browser user-agent and request time, kept up to 30 days by our hosting provider for abuse prevention.
- No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.
How we use it
- To reply to your message and continue the conversation.
- To send you product samples, quotes or a meeting invite if you asked for one.
- To improve the site (aggregate, non-identifying patterns only).
We never sell, rent or trade your information.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages stay in our inbox for up to 24 months, then are deleted unless you've become a customer or partner (in which case our books obligate us to keep records for 7 years under Kenyan tax law).
Who else sees it
- Our email provider (cPanel / Roundcube mail running on our hosting account at hyapak.com).
- That's it. Messages do not leave our team.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- see a copy of what we hold on you
- correct anything wrong
- delete the lot
- stop using your data for anything but a legal obligation
Email info@hyapak.com with “Data request” in the subject and we'll respond within 14 days.
Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. No banner needed.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their data, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change something material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where required, post a notice on the home page for 30 days.
